Position Summary:
The MIS Training Coordinator will be the primary resource for the design, development, delivery and evaluation of technology courseware, instructor materials, custom courseware, and self-paced learning products that adhere to company quality standards. This person works closely with internal subject matter experts to create effective learning solutions to meet business needs. The MIS Training Coordinator will research content and pull information from a variety of internal and external sources to create engaging training. The MIS Training Coordinator will also identify areas of weakness in created courses and employ strategies for improvement.
When necessary, the MIS Training Coordinator will research training solutions and interact with external training vendors to find training solutions that meet business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivery of training programs in-group and one-on-one settings.
- Development of training programs to support existing and new applications.
- Development of on-line training, knowledgebase, and self-paced training programs.
- Development of customized documentation, as needed, to supplement training programs and existing documents.
- Develop training curricula, and associated materials for all IT training courses.
- Schedule and administer all external IT training.
- Coordinate training registration, scheduling, and production of materials.
- Acting as user advocate within the IT group and as an IT spokesperson with the user community.
Requirements
Education Level:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, or IT/IS.
Experience Required:
3-5 years in training and support in a general business environment, experience in biotech a plus. Excellent computer skills including experience with MS Office, Captivate, HTML, Dreamweaver, and graphic editing software like Photoshop. Experience with Adobe Framemaker is desirable
Multi-lingual in Spanish and English required. Any additional languages a plus.
